The MCSO Explorer Post, both and East and West Valley, came together on April 6th for our combined CPR training event. The class was instructed by family members of one of our explorers who are both first aid instructors. Our veteran Explorers had the opportunity to re-certify alongside a large group of new Explorers going through the training for the first time. Explorers spent the entire day learning basic and advanced first aid. The purpose of this training is to give our Explorers top-notch training so they may have the confidence to perform these tasks in the event an emergency were to occur. Our Explorers are fully vested in our community and are truly ready to serve in a moments notice. After a long day of training the Explorers elected to play a few games of dodgeball for team cohesion.
Below is a great article of a Greenburgh, NY Police Explorer who used his first aid training.
